Michael Owen endorsed a football game in 1999 which was released on Playstation, PC and was created by video game giants, EIDOS. The game was produced with a mix of arcade game play and real-life simulation.
The game allowed the user to play as any of the current players from over 200 international and domestic teams. The player can choose from competition structures including leagues and Cup championships, a practice mode, and single friendly matches, with the World Cup perhaps as the ultimate prize. It is also possible for the player to design own competitions.
The game was re-released for the Nintendo N64 in 2000 and was renamed Michael Owen WLS 2000.
